Life really is
beautiful. I think the more years I live, the more I find this to be true. In school we've been talking about what we need to do to
INSPIRE our students (I cannot wait to teach by the way) and in the process I've been finding so many things that inspire me. There is so much beauty all around and it truly is inspiring.
First and foremost, blonde bangs. My new roommate Lindsay (LOVE HER) cuts hair and she cut my bangs last night and I love them. A nice, thick, set of blonde bangs. Its the good life.
Here are some more beautiful things that i love.

Clothes. Ok maybe I'm a shopaholic but I love clothes and I love fashion. I just do. Like this adorable outfit from
Anthropologie.

laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose." -Woody Allen
(Dont you want my engagement picture to look like this? Because i do)"The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread."
-Mother Teresa
So the other day in my differentiation class we watched Oprah. It was the best class of my life PS. Anyway, we watched the entire special on her building her school in South Africa for young girls. Its called The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy. (Check out the site that tells the story - its seriously inspiring and amazing). Anyway, like i usually do when i watch Oprah i cried my eyes out like a little baby. My greatest desire in life is to make a difference and i realized at that moment my greatest life ambition: to teach school in Africa.
I think its my calling in life.

Gini, I LOVE this post! I loved that movie too! It was so inspiring! I kept it together through the movie in class but later I was telling my husband about it and broke down. He thought something was very wrong. You would be absolutely perfect for teaching in Africa!
ReplyDeleteI need a picture of your blonde bangs, I think I want some too. MOre of the side instead of the full, but nonetheless... blonde bangs!
