Confession

I really honestly think that teaching is one of the hardest jobs in the world. If not THE hardest. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job (most days) and it is also one of the most rewarding jobs – but it is hard. VERY HARD. And VERY EXHAUSTING.

Confession – I just don’t like 6th graders. I’m just not fan. They have attitudes, they talk back, they roll their eyes, they think they’re too cool. They are the definition of a “Smart Alec”. They cheat. They curse. They whine. They pout. They fight. They’re messy. They’re disrespectful. They’re loud. They’re inconsiderate.

OK, its true that not ALL of them are ALL of these things, but the majority are. Which makes me grumpy. I feel like I’m always grumpy teaching 6th grade, when in 4th grade last year, I only felt that way a few times the whole year.

THEY. ARE. DRIVING. ME. CRAZY.

My poor baby has to listen to me yell at 6th graders all day. Poor baby.

  1. I've got to hand it to you...I would absolutely HATE being a teacher! I agree that it would probably be one of the hardest professions. I'm sure you are a great teacher though and those kids probably just love you (even though they can be brats)! :)
