Easter Weekend

Easter in Sweden is a big deal, which is strange considering that most of the residents here are atheists, but we enjoyed every second of it.  We wanted to go somewhere but flights were 3x more expensive than they usually are.  AND the only flights that leave Lulea are to Stockholm so that just complicates things.  I was kind of bummed but we really enjoyed the long weekend just us.  That is one thing I have really enjoyed since being here, all the alone time we get together.  Its really fun with just us.  We went out on the town, ran some errands, were a little lazy and watched a lot of Lost and How I Met your Mother, went to church, spent a day out of the ice (bay) and picnic-ed? We had a blast! Especially because its warming up.  YAY!
This is mainstreet in downtown Lulea, we go here everyday because its across the street from our apartment. Its also nice because they have heated sidewalks so there isn't any ice! Yay! No slipping for me!
Main street decorated for Easter.
More Easter decorations.
In our elevator in our building.  Owen is obsessed with it.
 Some views of our town.
My handsome guys. I'm so lucky.
Outside our church.
This is the frozen over bay and up ahead is the island we walked to for our picnic.  They have a skating path in the middle and two walking paths on the sides.  We passed a cute little family with their little kids playing hockey in the middle of it.  It was so cute! We love it!
The island was really crowded because it was Monday, a vacation day.  Everyone was having picnics and just hanging out.  Some people were snow-mobiling too.
The island. And little Owen.
Thats a view of Lulea from the island.
He loves playing in the snow!
It was a perfect weekend. But we're looking forward to this ice melting soon!  We are now getting 16 hours of daylight and its awesome!  Only going to get more!
