Amsterdam

Sorry these are WAY out of order.  And I'm lazy. Sorry.
One of the perks about living in Europe is that we get to travel around.  Its pretty inexpensive and everything is relatively close.  Well, not really to Lulea but to Stockholm.  We took an hour flight to Stockholm and then an hour and half flight to Amsterdam.  I'm not quite sure why we chose Amsterdam but I'm glad we did and grateful for the opportunity to see it.  We had a blast.
Owen parties hard. Obviously.
We went on a boat tour through the canals throughout the city of Amsterdam.  It was really cool.  They served us pizza and ice cream.  Owen wasn't so great at sitting still so the nice captain let him drive the boat.  He loved it.
Just eating some ice cream.
He is crazy
Owen's favorite part of the trip was chasing around pigeons.  I was freaked out but he loved it.
Famous Danish dessert.  Poffertjes. DELICIOUS.

Airport
Owen is a champion flyer and did great, but by the time we got to Amsterdam, he was pretty tired.
We took the train from the airport to downtown Amsterdam where our hotel was
Owen fell asleep on shortly after this.
This was the view right as we stepped outside the train station! AMAZING!
We went to the hotel and crashed.  Thats what I love about vacation! Relaxing with my boys.
We woke up the first morning and by the time we left the hotel, it was Owen's nap time.  But he did great and took a nap in his stroller so Eric and I could enjoy the sites.  We took one of the tour buses around town and stopped at some places.  We learned a lot about the city. It was cool.
On the tour bus.
We ate at Hard Rock.  I know I know. We just REALLY miss American food.  And it did NOT disappoint.  We LOVED having ice in our drinks with free refills and Eric got a real American burger and I had an AMAZING salad! Ah it felt so good!
Holland is famous for their windmills
That is the Royal palace right in the middle of the sqaure
my cute boys
We didn't get to do very many things because of Owen but the one thing I HAD to do was to go see the Anne Frank house and it did NOT disappoint.  We went there super early but there was still a CRAZY line!  Eric chased Owen around for 3 hours while I waited in line.
The line.
Waiting in line.  Owen got tired.
We resorted to Curious George on the iPod.
The view across the street from the Ann Frank house.
We LITERALLY were in line for 3 hours. It was NUTS.
Here's the front of it.  They wouldn't let us take pictures inside but it honestly was REALLY cool to see.  Words can't really do justice for the feelings I had while we were in there.  It was amazing.
And Owen actually did great.  We were really worried he would just scream and cry the whole time.  I guess he loves history just as much as we do.
Love my boys.
We are so blessed to live where we live and have these opportunities.  It was a perfect weekend.
