Summer Daze

Well since its getting colder here already I should blog about the last of our summer adventures.  It never did get hot here.  I think the hottest it got while i was here was mid 70's.  But Owen and I did love going to the pool.  They had a kiddie pool and then a big pool with a pretty sweet water slide and we loved it.  Too bad it closed right when school started so we can't go anymore but it was fun while it lasted.  Oh yeah, and it was free.  Pretty sweet.
Kiddie Pool
Big pool with water slide. The water slide was by far Owen's favorite thing.
Always has his cars
I'm just obsessed with these curls.
We did enjoy having the playground to ourselves after the kids went back to school though.
Eric's birthday was a hit. The BIG 28.  If you know me at all you know that we celebrate birthdays all week long and did we ever. It was a blast.  On his actual birthday we ate dinner and then rode our bike to the babysitters, dropped Owen off and then rode our bikes to the movies and back again.  We're so European.  It was really fun.  The movie theater here is by far the smallest I've ever seen.  There were four rows of 6 seats and it was so teeny.  And the tickets were like 20 bucks (thats why we've never been before).  Pretty ridiculous but it was a special occasion.
Saturdays are spend riding our bikes around town and we usually always end up at the beach. Owen is obsessed with water.  Mostly with throwing rocks into the water. We love our Saturdays.
Owen was playing on that dock and threw his Lightening McQueen off the side which immediately sunk.  Eric was so nice to get in the water in his clothes to get it for him.  What a good dad.
Ah. He's SUCH a babe.
We're sad to see summer go but I'm actually glad school is back in session. Its nice to have playgrounds and beaches to ourselves.Other kids just got in the way. But we're mostly excited to go to Utah next week.  Seriously, I've never been more excited.  Except maybe coming home from my mission.  Maybe.
