Loppis

Twice a year Lulea has a giant Loppis. Its like a gigantic yard sale in a huge warehouse (about the size of the expo center in Sandy).  People can sign up and pay for a table and they bring anything they want to sell.  Baked goods, old clothes, toys, antiques, home decor, etc.  I went back in April and I went again last Saturday.  I kind of forgot how much I kind of hate it.  But I like to laugh at people so that makes it enjoyable.
It kind of drives me crazy because I am not a huge fan of crowds. Especially when they're Swedes.  They're kind of mean and will just run you over and bump into you and not say anything.  It makes me so upset.
People will come with empty suitcases (or sometimes empty strollers) and drag them around and fill them up with things they buy. It makes me laugh.
It is so unbelievably crowded.  Buses will come full of people from Finland just to come to the Loppis. Its kind of insane.
I went with my cute Canadian friend Darci. She's expecting her first baby in April so we had a fun time looking for baby things. (Maybe I'm a little baby hungry)
I bought two of these cute Christmas star lights to hang in my windows. I love Christmas.
It was fun to have something to do on a Saturday and actually get dressed.

  1. That seems like a dream. A huge cool yard sale. I have this idea that everyone in Sweden has fantastic taste, so it's not like yard sales in Utah where there's a lot of ugly stuff.
